The recent concert by 'HFT' in Pune was rewarding in far more ways than one. The trio, Arjun Sen (guitar), Lew Hilt (bass) and Sam Shullai (drums) played a near three-hour repertoire that was scintillatingly fine-tuned from first note to finale. No vocals, and the band refuses to call itself an instrumental one; with just cause, because all the three musicians were outstandingly eloquent and articulate on their individual instruments, besides interlocking with each other in spot-on precision to make every musical moment a wholly expressive one. The all-original music ranged from a sorta laid-back initiation that built up to groovy interludes and was cranked up into some crunchy rock riffy grooves, all the while keeping listeners' ears intrigued, entranced by the melodic, harmonic brew from Arjun (AJ) and Lew - i was at a table with Derek Julien and my friend Roger Dragonette (a deft and delectable bass player himself) who described one of the HFT tunes as 'Hank Marvin on acid'. From Miles-ish modes, to Bill Evans like cool and Indian classical raga-tinged filigrees, 'High F***ing Time' turned the night alight. This is what bands can and should evolve to, and it's a shame that HFT is one of the very few - that play for the love of the music and not to eke out a living by, or woo the goddess of fame and fortune - or even lust, as most of the Indian gig circuit 'regulars' are wont to. The blues band 'Soulmate' from Shillong and 'Pink Noise' of Kolkata are the only ones i can speak of in the same breath as HFT. For all its glitz and gold, Mumbai with its elitist Blue Frog and Rolling Stone credentials has almost nothing to show in terms of bands or music. The 'black hole' of Bollywood devours all comers - imagine, a whole generation of rockers and jazz-ers who could have evolved to 'HFT'-like creative orbit, pay obeisance to Mammon - and 'Rock On' and the Channel V/MTV playlists are the mouldy, inane fruit.

I like the game online, especially Rift. In the game, I make fiends with lots of people. They often say that get rift plat is difficult. But I don’t think so. Why? Because I have a good method about getting rift Platinum. Yes. It’s spend money to buy rift Platinum on the net. Don’t worry! I can tell you some sites that sell discounted gold.
